David Wright
About
David took an unconventional route to the law. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and History while working in a cancer research laboratory . After graduation, David worked as a bench scientist until starting law school. While attending Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana, David wrote and presented a paper at the Sierra Leone Independence Day Conference at Columbia University on rehabilitating former child soldiers. After law school, he passed the Washington State bar exam and began his legal career, where he managed a team that primarily oversaw mass tort discovery. David moved to Texas in 2013, took the Texas bar exam, and has worked as a temporary Assistant Attorney General in Child Protective Services and in commercial litigation before focusing on estate planning full time.
In his personal time, David loves to spend time with his children, barbecue, and learning more about the natural world. David lived in Germany for two and a half years, speaks German fluently, and always seems to have a plan to go back to his favorite city, Dresden.
David likes to tailor estate planning to each client's individual goals, because a one-size-fits-all approach to legal advice doesn't fit everyone, especially clients with unique family situations. The best part of his job is getting to know his client's story and opening their eyes to see what is possible with their estate planning, whether their estate is large or small. David believes that good estate planning can make a big difference at life's lowest moments and protect your legacy for future generations.
